sts3 mvc 오류 download of template 'org.springframework.templates.mvc' failed

sts3 학습 중 아래와 같은 오류창이 뜨게 되었고 이걸 해결하기 위해 전 꽤나 많은 시간을 소요했습니다.

결론만 먼저 말하자면 제가 쓰고 있던 버전은 sts-3.9.17.RELEASE 버전과 openjdk11.0.2 버전이었는데  sts3와 openjdk11의 호환의 문제인지 다른 블로그 포스팅을 보고  openjdk 11을 oraclejdk 11 버전으로 바꾸니 해결되었습니다.

혹시나 다른 해결 방법이 있을까 해서 아래의 링크들을 참고하여 해결해 보려 했지만 다른 방법으론 해결하지 못했습니다.
